Telehealth Services

Telehealth, Virtual and Online Consultancy Consultations

As a leader in neurological adult and paediatric rehabilitation and therapy, we are often asked to consult on complex or difficult cases in Melbourne or other parts of regional or rural Victoria and the rest of Australia. This has resulted in the launch of our telehealth or online consultancy services since 2018 to assist many interstate, regional and international clients in obtaining accurate advice and assistance in their rehabilitation journey.

Depending on the nature of the problem, you may be suitable to receive therapy over the internet from our expert clinicians, much like you would have a confidential and private consultation face to face in our clinic. For more information on our telehealth neuro physio services, feel free to connect with us.

How is this done and what do I need?

To avail our telehealth neuro physio services, you will need to have access to a computer, laptop or mobile phone with a web or video camera and a stable internet connection.

How does it work?

Step 1

You will need to have access to a computer, laptop or mobile phone with a web or video camera and a stable internet connection.

Consider preparing the following information:

  • Your presenting condition

  • What you are needing help with

  • Any specific deliverables needed (such as NDIS/Medical Reports, Equipment Prescriptions or Written Programs and Training)

Initial consultations are typically 1 hour. However, they may be longer depending on the complexity or scope of the requested opinion.

Step 2

Upon confirmation of your appointment booking, we will send you a confirmation email which includes a link to a secure online platform that enables us to have a real time consultation. All information exchanged over the platform is encrypted end-to-end, and documentation will be kept confidential in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We will also send you any additional instructions and documentation such as questionnaires, outcome measures, service agreements, etc, prior to the appointment if needed and then you’re good to go!

Please be mindful of any time differences depending where you are consulting from and any adjustments due to daylight savings.

Step 3

Click on the link at the appointment time and you’re on!

How do I start?

Just call us on (03) 9555 2273 or email us at reception@klintneuro.com.au.

If you are unsure of the technology side, our reception team can set up a free trial teleconference with you to make sure it is viable.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is best to give us a call to discuss your situation. Our friendly reception team will help you work out your next steps, which may include an initial appointment booked with a therapist or speaking with a senior therapist over the phone. Sometimes the only way to find out is to assess you in person while other times it may be possible to determine this over a phone call.

Klint offers a consultancy service for many unusual presentations, conditions and disorders. Our recommendation is that the initial appointment is done in person, but if this is not possible, effective assessment and treatment can still occur. Neurological physiotherapy treatment is not just above ‘hands-on’ or manual therapy, but often comes in the following forms as well:

We also find that many clients benefit from online consultations after an initial in person assessment, but others that are usually suitable at the outset are:

*Additional conditions apply in these situations

Please note that the list above it non-exhaustive.

Year on year, our client satisfaction surveys for our in-person consultations are at least 90% across rated domains such as professionalism, knowledge, therapy skills, honesty, communication, teaching and anticipation of needs. Even when treating you remotely, you will still receive the great quality of care the public has come to expect from us.

In addition, our registered physiotherapists are all covered for telehealth under their professional indemnity insurance and have been approved by our internal clinical governance team to deliver telehealth. For your peace of mind, all therapists conducting telehealth neuro physio have also received in-house training on the use of telehealth and are able to identify risk and manage it appropriately while maximising the clinical effectiveness and the online experience for the end user. This balance of risk with creativity honed over time and experience is what enables us to deliver effective neurological, paediatric and vestibular physiotherapy online.

Currently NDIS, Worksafe, TAC, Private Health Insurance, Medicare and DVA have telehealth codes for partial or full rebates for therapy. This may be subject to change without notice so please contact us to confirm.

Please speak with our reception on (03) 9087 9444 for an accurate price list.

If you would like to find out more, please contact us at reception@klintneuro.com.au or call us directly and we would be more than happy to assist you.
