Emma graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2023 with a Doctor of Physiotherapy (first-class honours). Prior to this she completed a Bachelor of Science (University of Melbourne) during which she spent a year abroad studying at ETH Zürich, Switzerland.

During her studies Emma gained exposure to neurological rehabilitation across a broad range of settings, including in Spinal Cord Rehabilitation at the Royal Talbot. Prior to her Physiotherapy career, Emma also worked for over two years as an Allied Health Assistant in a major Melbourne hospital, working in subacute neurological rehabilitation.

Emma fell in love with neurological physiotherapy during her university studies. She enjoys the necessity to be innovative, problem-solve, and work collaboratively with clients, their support networks, and multidisciplinary teams. Emma is committed to making therapy enjoyable and meaningful for clients, and utilising the latest evidence-based practice. Emma has a particular interest in Stroke and Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation as well as helping clients achieve patient-specific disease-modifying exercise outcomes in Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. She is passionate about listening deeply to clients, and empowering them to achieve their goals, improve independence, and quality of life.

In her spare time, Emma enjoys hiking and camping with her husband, spending time with family and friends, and doing lots of baking (current favourite is cinnamon scrolls!) Emma also speaks conversational German.
