Senior Neurological Physiotherapist
Yvette holds a Bachelor in Physiotherapy and Masters in Health Administration and has worked as a Physiotherapist for over 25 years in the Victoria and the United Kingdom. She has a broad range of rehabilitation experience in both public and private rehabilitation services and centres.
She has considerable professional and life experience in delivering, managing and planning different rehabilitation programs in a variety of different formats. She has many years’ experience in teaching and developing Allied Health and other Healthcare workers and students through her clinical, leadership and project/research roles.
Yvette’s clinical passion has always been in the area of Neurological rehabilitation however she has extensive skills and experience in many different areas of clinical practice. Her clinical specialities, therefore, are broad- including an array of different neurological conditions and presentations but also many orthopaedic problems, issues such as pain, chronic disease and oncology rehabilitation.
Yvette is a lifelong learner who uses all sorts of different ways to build on her knowledge and skills. Some of the areas where she gained specialised training or experience include: Bobath approach, Vestibular Rehabilitation, managing spasticity and tone, return to running, Cancer rehabilitation and hydrotherapy. Her approach with all her patients is based in her patient’s expressed goals and preferences. She applies a variety of tailored approaches to her treatment and management with a strong focus on the attainment of health and wellbeing for all in her care.
Yvette’s interests include pottery, swimming, bike riding, camping and travel.
