Wageesha Silva
Neurological Physiotherapist
Wageesha graduated from La Trobe University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Physiotherapy Practice. Her passion for neurological physiotherapy was sparked during her time as an Allied Health Assistant in the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) unit at The Alfred. Working alongside exceptional therapists, she saw firsthand the profound, meaningful impact that specialized physiotherapy can have on the lives of those navigating complex neurological journeys.
Prior to joining the Klint team, Wageesha gained a diverse range of clinical skills working rurally in a public hospital setting. This experience across acute medical, surgical, and aged care wards—as well as leading orthopedic and balance groups—provided her with a robust foundation in managing a wide variety of patient needs. A clinical placement in community neurological rehabilitation further cemented her commitment to this field.
Wageesha is dedicated to deepening her expertise across all neurological conditions. She employs an evidence-based treatment approach, combining the latest clinical research with a genuine desire to understand her clients’ unique goals. She brings energy and enthusiasm to every session, striving to help each individual achieve their highest level of function and independence.
Outside of the clinic, Wageesha stays active by lifting weights, running, and hiking. She also loves exploring Melbourne’s vibrant café scene and catching up with friends.
