Laura graduated with Honours from a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from St George’s University of London in the UK. Since graduating she has rotated through a diverse range of specialities in several Central London teaching hospitals whilst continuing her part-time work in a private neurorehabilitation hospital. Her experience includes working in the medical and trauma wards at several of London’s major trauma centres; Kings College Hospital and The Royal London Hospital.

Laura has also worked in long-term medical and neurology rehabilitation and approaches treatment holistically. She believes that having a clear understanding of her patient’s beliefs, values and expectations of physiotherapy is essential in order to provide effective and meaningful treatment plans. Her clinical experience includes stroke, spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, Guillain-Barré syndrome and spinal surgery prehab and rehabilitation.

Her personal enjoyment of pilates has led her to explore its exciting role in clinical rehabilitation and she has undertaken her matwork qualification in addition to several clinical pilates neurology courses. Laura also has experience using hydrotherapy for a wide range of patients and finds it a valuable adjunct to traditional land-based rehabilitation.

In her spare time, Laura enjoys pilates, kayaking and exploring regional Victoria.
