Sophia has experience working in various settings, including acute stroke, subacute neurological rehabilitation and private practice. Sophia’s interest in neurological conditions stems from her knowledge of neuroscientific principles. Specifically, by using the plasticity of the nervous system and appropriate task practice to trigger neuronal re-organization and hence the recovery of function in her clients. Her passion for neurological rehabilitation has been deepened through her experience working in the Royal Children Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital, providing physiotherapy to people with neurological conditions across different age groups to improve their functional capacity and quality of life.
Sophia is passionate about empowering her clients to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. She always endeavours to build collaborative relationships with her clients and their families. She believes that physiotherapy management should be tailored to the individual, taking into consideration their social and psychological wellbeing as well as physical capacity. She is bilingual and can also successfully treat in Mandarin and Cantonese.
In Sophia’s spare time, she enjoys road trips with family and friends. She loves to explore different types of cuisine – the spicier the better – when travelling to new places.
