Lara Miller
Neurological Physiotherapist
Lara graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Northumbria University, England in 2007.
With a clear passion in neurology, she started her career in a neuro-rehabilitation centre and the community, working with clients with various long-term neurological conditions including stroke, MS, acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury.
Following this, she worked in the NHS as part of a community stroke team supporting clients in their subacute rehabilitation journey, then working in acute hospital rotations.
Lara moved to Melbourne in 2014 after her and her partner fell in love with the city whilst on holiday. Since then she worked as a Team Leader in the community and aged care homes, which commonly involved providing Physiotherapy for clients with Parkinson’s Disease and Stroke, before joining Klint.
Over the years Lara’s clinical experience has been supported by professional development courses including PD Warrior instructor training, ‘normal movement’ training, motor relearning and hydrotherapy. She has also completed postgraduate training in the Context of Neurological Rehabilitation at Teesside University in the UK.
Lara is driven by supporting clients to achieve exciting and meaningful goals through adopting consistent habits to enhance neuroplastic changes.
When not at work, Lara enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter. She is a keen environmentalist, currently completing a Diploma of Sustainable Living and is happiest outdoors, at the beach or the mountains.
