Joy divides her time between Klint and Eastern Health’s movement disorders program where she sees client’s mainly with Parkinson’s and other related conditions. She is our service’s movement disorder expert being well known in this area of Physiotherapy. Aside from Parkinson’s, Joy is passionate about helping people with progressive neurological conditions maximise their quality of life.

Her clinical experience also spans across to stroke, brain tumours, acquired brain injuries, and those with multi-trauma injuries following car accidents. She remains focussed on creating a memorable experience for her clients, and keeps them at the forefront of her practice in helping them achieve their goals.

Joy is a strong advocate of normal movement in every day activities such as walking but also in more advanced forms such as running and to the technicalities of playing sport. An avid sportswoman herself you will often find her on the golf course or enjoying some social tennis. She is excited about helping her clients with neurological conditions engage in sports and recreation as a form of rehab. 

Joy is trained in Bobath therapy and has completed other reputable post-graduate courses to compliment her analysis and treatment of human movement.
